SecuFast® Tufnut® Systems |
Tufnut® security nuts • Tufnut® security nuts are designed to provide an effective and inexpensive solution against impulsive theft and vandalism. • The Tufnut® security nut is stamped from C1010 cold-rolled steel, tumbled, then tapped with rolled threads. Next the parts are heat treated to RC55-60 such that they will resist interference from hand tools, chisels and punches. Finally they are plated with a zinc yellow chromate plating to withstand 200 hours of neutral salt spray.

| 1 | Install the first Tufnut® finger-tight. | ||||||||
| 2 | Install the second Tufnut® to within a 1/2 turn of the first and tighten or loosen | ||||||||
| by inserting wrench or vice-grip between Tufnut®, then turn both nuts to secure. | |||||||||
| 3 | Remove second Tufnut® leaving the first properly secured. | ||||||||
